Jack in the Pulpit
Den and you discovered it? I liked the picture. It's nice to remember the kinds of plants that grow under trees in Michigan. Ours are different. And I don't have access to think shade. One tree does not enough shade make.

Thoughts
I agree with Vicky's note about Dad's death. No one wanted to loose him, no one wanted him to be in pain or suffering. Being with him each of his last nights it was clear to me that he didn't want to leave us but he did understand that his options had run out and I believe that he accepted his lot.
Here is a picture of "Jack-in-the-Pulpit" that Den and I discovered at Seven Bridges one recent spring.

Is spring here to stay?
This was a great idea Pat. I don't know how the weather was for everyone else this weekend, but we here in ER could not have asked for a better two days. I swear the kids were only inside to sleep for the past 48 hours, and boy did they sleep well after all of their playing in the fresh air. It was in the 80's both days and all sun. (I already have to buy another bottle of sunscreen for the summer and it's only April). It sure would be nice if spring is here to stay.
We are expecting rain this afternoon and temps in the 60s all week, but we'll take it. We are heading to NY bright and early on Saturday morning and will be gone all next week. Unfortunately, I doubt their weather out there will be nearly as nice and warm. Oh well, we'll appreciate all the more when we get back. Have a great week!

Another weather report
We have had weather in the 60s and low 70s, but are expecting thunderstorms today and snow mixed with rain tomorrow. I planted seeds this weekend and have decided that they have to wait for nautre's moisture instead of me supplying it. No sense getting them exciting about growing when they'll die off in the next snowstorm.
At the end of Dad's life, I wanted his pain and suffering to end. I wasn't expecting this, but I found I felt guilty because, in one way, I wanted my Dad to die. Once I realized it, I forgave myself and let it go. I just wasn't expecting that reaction.
I have developed a problem hearing with my left ear. Sounds are distorted, like I'm hearing underwater. Now when I whistle, I hear myself in harmony, like someone whistling along with me. I'm interpretting it like Dad is still with me. AND I'm under a doctor's care for a sinus infection that could be causing the hearing problem. Being fanciful is one thing, being stupid is another!

CURRAN FAMILY UPDATES
Spring is finally springing around here. Jim is trying to get the lawn mower to work so we can mow for the first time. Also so we can haul the little trailer around to pick up garden scraps from last year and weeds from this year.
Caylee is outside swinging and I am waiting for Robert to wake up. He must have had a hard week. He has been sleeping for over 3 hours. Barb and Jim

Welcome from the author
Welcome to our famliy blog. Erin set one up for her family sooo I thought you all might want to try this form of communication. Only people that I have chosen can read and text on our blog. You will be invited to join and tap intoour site. You can text and send pics. about what's going on in your life. We have been shoveling for two days now. The wind drifts the snow around the basement steps and Sat. morn it was up to the window solid snow , compacted, had to cut chunks, blocks out to toss into ther flower beds!!! But the wind has finally stopped howling and we have had fires the last two days. Today, Easter Sunday the sun is out and I can see blue sky once again. Hopefully this will last until the next storm predicted for the Thursday. We need spring to pop before we do!!!
